How can a company use its logistics efficiency to ‘win' price wars? These are some of the issues covered in this online eCourse presented by the University of Maryland and CSCMP. This course is an introductory course for those concerned with real-time supply chain issues.
Now, through the convenience of an interactive e-course, CSCMP and the University of Maryland have made it possible for you to conveniently learn the basic technical and organizational infrastructure necessary for utilizing a mega-portal and the profound impact of its successful management has on an enterprise.
The objective of this course is to familiarize the course participants with all aspects of the real-time e-supply chain. At the end of the course, you should have the skill set to:
- analyze an individual's corporation's current supply chain practices through a detailed mapping exercise
- compare those practices, including the IT system components, with best industry practices
- provide a road map for the corporation to follow to get to best practices
Course Objective
The Real Time Supply Chain eCourse is a joint educational venture co-sponsored by the Robert H. Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals . The CSCMP is very focused on adding more educational resources for its members. Thanks to the addition of the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business e-course we have now added a totally new e-channel and product to the mix. As such it also contributes to the ongoing expansion of Council website as a "must go to place." The self study e-course is the result of months of development work by the talented supply chain team at the university's School of Business and it is the sort of initiative the Council can be proud to be involved with, it is a course that many members will want to take and that all members can be excited about.

04 Business models – gives an introductory look into how the realtime supply chain has revolutionized manufacturing

To proceed to the next frame please use the right-facing arrow located in the lower right hand corner of your screen. To view a previous page please use the left-facing arrow located in the lower right-hand side of your screen.
