CSCMP Recognition Program
Supply Chain Management Professional
Senior Supply Chain Management Professional
Welcome to CSCMP’s Supply Chain Management Professional website. One of your organization’s goals is to develop supply chain professionals around the globe and raise the level of awareness of their contribution to the enterprise.
CSCMP recognized the need for an industry wide formal recognition program for excellence in supply chain management. CSCMP received a mandate from industry and academia when the concept was presented. In concert with a team comprised of members from both industry and academic, CSCMP developed a recognition program rolled out at the 2007 Annual Global Conference.
The key elements of the program are:
- Definition of the areas of expertise in supply chain management
- Definition of a level of contribution necessary to be considered either a professional level or senior professional level in the management of these areas of expertise
- A process for a company to develop and qualify their internal selection process with CSCMP
Through the Supply Chain Management Professional Advisory Committee, companies and their programs will be qualified and recognized, and the company selected candidates will be recognized annually by CSCMP and included in their worldwide community of practice.
Companies included in the Supply Chain Management Professional Advisory Committee include Ericsson, Georgia Institute of Technology, IBM, Intel, Pennsylvania State University and Texas A & M.
