From among those papers accepted for presentation at SCMEC, the best research is selected by the Editorial Review Panel to be awarded the distinguished E. Grosvenor Plowman Award.
The Plowman Award is given in honor of E. Grosvenor Plowman, a lifetime supporter of both CSCMP and the logistics profession. Since its inception over thirty years ago, the award has been offered annually. Originally contributed by CSCMP’s Transportation Research Fund, the monetary award for the winning paper has increased from $500.00 US in 1971 to the current sum of $1,000.00 US.
Plowman recipients are invited to present their research at SCMEC. The award winner(s) is recognized for his/her contributions during the opening session of SCMEC.
