Research Ideas and Proposal Submissions
Are you aware of an area of research that needs to be undertaken? All logistics and supply chain management professionals and academics (CSCMP members and nonmembers alike) are encouraged to submit research ideas and proposals for the CSCMP Research Strategies Committee's consideration.
CSCMP Research Process
The Research Strategies Committee undertakes the development of CSCMP's research agenda then initiates and oversees research projects that add value and knowledge to benefit today's supply chain practitioner.
If you have just an idea, rather than a full proposal, send it to the Research Strategies Committee via e-mail.
Here is a list of Research Classifications used within the submission form, and also used to categorize all research ideas and topics.
The Research Process Flow Chart outlines the process used for receiving and handling research proposals submitted for funding consideration
Proposal Submission Form
If you are submitting a proposal for CSCMP funding consideration for a project that will benefit today's logistics and supply chain practitioner , complete the Research Proposal Submission Form. Proposals submitted that do not use this form will not be considered. If you feel that some of the questions on the proposal do not apply to your particular submission, feel free to skip some of the more specific questions in the form, however your contact information must be filled in completely in order for the submission to be received in our inbox.
Here is a sample, completed Research Proposal Submission Form.
When submitting a funding proposal, please be brief and to the point throughout the form. Clarity, focus and brevity are appreciated. Keeping the following guidelines in mind, your research proposal must be:
- Objective
- Relevant to CSCMP Members
- Applied
- Generalizable
CSCMP's Research Strategies Committee will evaluate all research proposals. We cannot promise that we will use your idea, and submission of a proposal does not give you "ownership" of the idea. All proposals will be evaluated based on merit.
You will obtain a confirmation as soon as your submission form has been received. The Research Strategies Committee will review your submission at their next quarterly meeting, or conference call. |
