Advisory Committee Members

Gordon Breault, SAP SCM Consultant at Pacer Global Logistics in Dublin Ohio., has over 25 years of experience in warehousing and supply chain systems design and implementation. At Pacer, Gordon is leading a team in implementing the total Supply Chain Planning implementation of SAP. Gordon is currently on the CSCMP Strategic Advisory Committee as well as being a Regional Advisor for the Roundtables. At the local level, Gordon serves as Secretary for the Columbus Roundtable. Gordon’s overriding philosophy is that competition makes us strong and collaboration makes us stronger.

Greg Chalkley. Director, Global Trade Compliance for Texas Instruments Incorporated, Dallas TX, has 30 years experience in logistics and trade facilitation. Greg is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Council of Supply Chain Management and is responsible for its Global Roundtable Advisory Committee. Additionally, Greg is on the Executive Advisory Board for the University of North Texas’ Marketing and Logistics Department. He served on the Logistics Committees for MediSend International, North Texas Commission and Shower of Love for Parkland Hospital Foundation. He also serves on the board of directors for Chalkley Farms Inc a family farm in Indiana. He served on the board of directors for the Texas Association of Competitive Transportation. Greg has served in every roundtable position, including President twice.

Chris Elliott is a Fleet Application Specialist at Ashland Inc. in Dublin, OH. He has over 6 years of experience in developing mathematical models for supply chain and business problems, performing enterprise scale data analysis, and producing financial analysis of business operations. He has also served on and led many project teams to increase efficiency, lower costs, and develop state of the art processes and technology solutions for complex supply chain problems. Chris has been involved with CSCMP as a student then as a full member for over three years. Currently he serves as the President of the Columbus Roundtable, Chair of the Roundtable Membership Committee, and a member of the CSCMP Membership Committee. He is also the president of two Dublin, OH area Toastmasters clubs. Chris holds a Bachelors degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master of Business Logistics Engineering from the Ohio State University. Chris is the lead author of the first CSCMP Program in a box, “Supply Chain Technology Solution Selection” and enjoys presenting that program and programs on supply chain technology, employee motivation, and speaking skills to corporate audiences around the world.

Robert (Robb) Frankel is the Kip Professor of Marketing and Logistics at the University of North Florida's Coggin College of Business, in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been a professor for thirteen years, following the completion of his MBA from the University of Missouri and his Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He also has ten years experience in the logistics industry, prior to his advanced education degrees. A Fulbright scholar, Robb has published extensively in numerous academic journals concerning marketing, logistics and supply chain management, with particular interests in the topics of firm/cross-firm integration and global logistics. He has been an active member of CSCMP since the early 1990s, serving as a speaker at the annual Conference, serving as the Education Chair for the Jacksonville Roundtable, co-chairing a track at the annual Conference in Denver, and now serving as Co-Chair of the Education Process Team.

Jay Friedman is the Director of Business Development for Agistix, Inc. of Redwood City, CA, the leading provider of Logistics Management Automation (LMA) software. Jay has over 25 years of supply chain and logistics services and technology experience. His career began with Airborne Express where he held various sales and sales management positions throughout the US. After leaving Airborne, Jay served as VP Sales at ebHub, an e-Commerce Service Provider, and then helped build the western US sales division for Fortna, a design and build distribution systems integrator. Jay has served the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals organization in many leadership positions, including his current roles as President of the Arizona Roundtable and CSCMP Roundtable Advisor. He also serves as Corporate Board Member, and Past Chairman of the Board, of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley (Phoenix, AZ). Jay has a BA from Rutgers University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Susan Golicic, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, has 12 years experience in logistics and supply chain management practice and academe.  She has consulted with numerous firms on supply chain management and forecasting, presented at many academic and practitioner conferences and has published supply chain management research in various publications. She served as a Portland Roundtable officer for two years and has been a member of the Education Process Team since its inception in 2006.

Candice Gouge is an Account Executive with Lynden International in Dallas, TX. She has over 20 years experience in the logistics provider field performing a variety of tasks including: operations, customer service, business development, process development, Total Quality Management, team leadership, people development and sales. Candice has served on the local Dallas Ft. Worth Roundtable for the past seven years in various roles. She has also served on the Advisory Committee as a marketing team member, the Marketing Chair and is currently serving as a Regional Advisor.

Cheryl A. Harrity, Principal at Supply Chain Visions, Bellevue, Washington, has over 18 years of experience in supply chain operations. For the past five years she has advised industry as a supply chain subject matter expert, leading benchmarking and consortium research and publishing results in supply chain best-practice performance research. Cheryl is the recipient of the 2000-2001 Emerging Professional Award for Supply Chain from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.  She serves as an officer of the Seattle Roundtable and has served as a project team member for the Supply-Chain Council for SCOR version 8.0 and the SCOR benchmarking tool, SCORmark.  Cheryl also services as an officer and director for the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) for humanitarian disaster relief.  Her collaborative style grounded by sound communications practices has been instrumental in steering practical implementation of creative vision in building and strengthening supply chain business platforms.

Anna Hummel, a 20 year supply chain veteran with A. Duie Pyle, Inc, established Pyle's logistics group known as ADP Logistics. With a headquarters located in West Chester, PA, Anna oversees all Logistic operations from pool distribution to freight bill audit and payment. Anna has been a member of CSCMP for over 10 years and has been an acknowledged speaker at numerous CSCMP conferences and seminars. Anna has been actively involved in different CSCMP committees; she currently holds the position as SWAT chairman for the Roundtable Advisory Committee.

Bhairavi Jani

Bhairavi is the Director at SCA Group of Companies. Working with multiple teams from various companies of the group, she provides them strategic and operational guidance and leads new projects, joint ventures and strategic alliances for the entire group. With a Bachelor of Science in Business with Magna Cum Laude from Miami University, Ohio and a completion of the MyGlobe Executive Education Program at INSEAD in France, Bhairavi has a wide knowledge of global supply chain management. Now residing in India, she focuses on ports, shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, service contracting, freight forwarding, logistics infrastructure building and management, air cargo, supply chain consultancy and IT. Bhairavi has been an active member of CSCMP since 2001.

John Kent

John Kent, Associate Professor Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, has been in academics for the past 10 years and prior to that worked in the trucking, rail intermodal, and ocean containership industries for 10 years. He has served on the St. Louis and Ozark Roundtable Boards and received CSCMP's Doctoral Dissertation Award in 1997. John received his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and has been published in the Journal of Business Logistics.

Michael Kirby

Michael P. Kirby, Sr. Director of Business Development for NFI/ National Distribution Centers, Cherry Hill, NJ, has 20 years sales, business development, warehousing, distribution, and transportation experience between National Distribution Centers (3PL) and Roadway Express (LTL). Michael has been President of the Delaware Valley Roundtable and has served in various committee and officer positions, including co-chairing the annual symposium event. Mike received a B.S. in Business Logistics from the Pennsylvania State University .

Thomas McGoldrick

Tom McGoldrick, Director of Distribution & Logistics at Revlon, Oxford, NC, has 21 years of experience in supply chain management. Tom has served seven years in Roundtable positions, including several different task forces. His professional focus is in consumer goods-cosmetics.

Cynthia Miller, Program Manager for Chainalytics’ Model-Based Benchmarking Consortium, has over ten years of experience in supply chain and logistics strategy, 3rd party outsourcing, and information technology. Concurrent with her work for Chainalytics, Cynthia is the Managing Director of Cielem’el, a strategic consulting firm specializing in competitive strategy, supply chain and operations management, and information systems for startup firms. Cynthia also teaches graduate level Business Intelligence at Golden Gate University in Sacramento, California, and is completing her dissertation research in business strategy and supply chain outsourcing.

Prior to founding Cielem’el in 2003, Cynthia spent four and a half years with Arzoon, as the Director of Solutions Consulting and the Director of Product Management. Cynthia has been actively involved in CSCMP for over ten years, having served in every roundtable board position.

Shirley Potts

Shirley Potts, President of DLT Transportation Services, Kansas City, MO, has 35 years of experience in third party logistics industry. Over the last 25 years, she has led DLT toward becoming one of the top service providers in the U.S. responsible for processing millions of freight dollars daily. Shirley's commitment to the logistics industry has been recognized by naming her Kansas City Transportation of the Year in 1995 and T.W. Volker Transportation Person of the Year in 2004. She served on Heartland Roundtable cabinet for 10 years, including two years as President and three years as Treasurer.

Erika Roberts joined LeanCor as Manager of Business Development in June 2007.  Her responsibilities include management of Sales and Marketing activities, definition and communication of the service value and core competencies, and strengthening of branding components. In her career, Erika has initiated several sales and marketing activities at various 3PLs. Her responsibilities have included: establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders in target markets, utilize sales tracking tools and performance measures, and report out on market conditions for strategic planning. She has facilitated the completion of numerous RFQs, developed promotional materials and public relations programs, written sales/marketing plans, and organized high-profile corporate events. Erika is extremely involved with CSCMP. In additional to several leadership roles at the local level, her service includes participation in Annual Conference Registration, Newcomer’s Welcome, Membership, and Marketing Committees. She has been an Annual Conference Track Chair, served as the Arrangements Chair on the 2007 Annual Conference Planning Committee, and currently serves as the Marketing Committee Chairperson and a Team Captain for the 2008 Annual Conference. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University with a double major in Marketing and Logistics Management and a Lean Manufacturing certification from Tech Solve. Headquartered in Florence, KY, LeanCor is the only 3PL dedicated to the application of Lean principles throughout supply chain management functions. Founded in January 2005, LeanCor was created to drive the next step in the evolution of Lean and address the unmet Lean needs in training, consulting, and operations.

Shashi Shekhar

Shashi Shekhar, Cargo Product Design Manager of Emirates Sky cargo at Emirates Group, Dubai , specializes in business development by leveraging practical skills and knowledge of quality, productivity, supply chain and air-logistics. Shashi graduated with Masters of Technology in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi , India . He is the Founder and Past President of Supply Chain and Logistics Group and an active member in many other professional organizations. Shashi has visited and spoken in several different conferences held in USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia.  

Christopher Stang is a Business Intelligence Analyst at Penske Truck Leasing in Reading, PA.  Chris has 18 years of logistics, transportation management and information technology experience with Penske Truck Leasing, Penske Logistics, and Shared Medical Systems Corporation.  His background includes experience with a major third-party logistics provider as well as working in a corporate transportation and traffic department.  He earned his Green Belt Certification as part of GE’s Six Sigma Quality Program.

Chris has been actively involved with CSCMP since 1992.  He currently serves as CSCMP’s Roundtable IT Process Team Lead on the Roundtable Advisory Committee. The focus of the roundtable technology committee is to identify and suggest improvements to WAMMS, CSCMP's online membership management database. Based on ideas and feedback received from the roundtables on their use of the system, the committee determines whether or not these ideas should be implemented. Chris is a Past President of the Delaware Valley Roundtable and currently serves as the Roundtable's Technology Chairperson. Chris holds a B.S. in Business Logistics and an MBA from the Pennsylvania State University.

Jon M. Teich, President of J.M. Teich & Associates, Park Ridge, IL, has 27 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics and 14 years of experience in Education.  Jon has been involved with CSCMP roundtable continuously for 26 years, holding officer positions for 23 years. He service as a Roundtable Advisory Committee Education liaison, and is currently the Chair of the Officer Development and Volunteer Recruitment process team. Professional Acknowledgements: Six Sigma Green Belt.

Charles Guowen Wang holds Ph. D in world economy from Nankai University and fulfilled his post doctor researcher in Guanghua School of Management of Peking University. He works in China Development Institute as Senior Research Fellow and Director of CDI Institute for Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He also serves as Deputy Secretary General of China Logistic Society.

Dr. Wang has over 20 years of experience in management position in logistics and as a senior research fellow .His research and consultant area cover topics such as international logistics, regional logistics development in China, logistics policy and 3PL strategy, logistics Outsourcing, logistics and sustainable transportation system, logistics statistical systems, grain and food logistics, oil logistics, international supply chain, etc. His new focus is on supply chain process and benchmarking. Dr. Wang has been invited lecture and speaker to numerous conferences and leading universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, UC Berkeley, UBC, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Georgia Institute of Technology. He is translator, writer and editor of 8 books and serves at 3 ditorial board such as Port Economy and Journal of Beijing Jiaotong University. He is advisor to several government agencies in China, including member of Shenzhen Logistics Expert Consultant Committee.

Dr. Wang joined CSCMP in 2000. He founded CSCMP China roundtable in 2002 and was appointed Chief Representative of CSCMP Beijing Office in 2003. He becomes roundtable regional advisor in 2007. He is the author of CSCMP Global Logistics Perspectives – China and translator of Chinese edition of CSCMP Supply Chain Process Standard. He is also actively involved in WERC activities in the United States and China.
